Dr. R. Subburaj is an accomplished academic, researcher, author, and technology professional with more than four decades of experience in Software Engineering, Software Reliability, Machine Learning for AI, Secure Coding, and Computer Programming.

His passions include teaching, research, and programming. He is the founder of “Subburaj Academy” and has successfully published six highly rated eLearning courses on Udemy, receiving excellent learner feedback and 5-star ratings.

Dr. Subburaj earned his Ph.D. from the University of Madras, his Master’s degree from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, and his B.E. degree from Alagappa Chettiar College of Engineering and Technology.

He is an authorized trainer of the CMU/SEI Software Capability Maturity Model and received a participation certificate from Andrew Ng through the Coursera/Stanford University Machine Learning program.

Dr. Subburaj served as Professor of Information Technology at SRM Institute of Science and Technology for 17 semesters, where he taught a wide range of subjects including Machine Learning, Secure Coding, Software Testing, Software Reliability Engineering, C, C++, Java, Algorithms, and Data Structures to undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. scholars.

He has successfully guided four Ph.D. scholars and more than 30 postgraduate research students in advanced areas of Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence.

An accomplished author, Dr. Subburaj has written 10 books covering subjects such as C Programming, C++, Python, Total Quality Management (TQM), and Software Reliability Engineering. He has also published over 70 research papers in reputed international journals and conferences including IEEE, Springer, and ACM publications.

Before entering academia full-time, Dr. Subburaj served for 30 years in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, including 18 years as Head of Electronics Testing and Reliability Centres. He contributed significantly to national initiatives in software quality assurance, standardization, reliability engineering, and e-governance quality systems.

In recognition of his distinguished contributions to “Standardization, Quality Control, and Precision Measurements,” he was conferred the prestigious IETE Lal C. Verman Award.

Dr. Subburaj is widely respected as a teacher, trainer, speaker, researcher, and mentor. He has delivered expert talks and faculty development programs at numerous national and international conferences and institutions.
